Our vision for this space is to offer you a quiet, cozy, modern cabin in the middle of the Green Mountain National Forest that offers all of the modern conveniences you may need. You can unplug from technology and enjoy the serene peace and mountain views. Or, you can cuddle up on the couch and enjoy playing board games or watching movies on the large screen TV.
One of our favorite things to do is to simply enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck in the morning and to admire the beauty of the Green Mountains. Or to enjoy dinner during “golden hour” and to watch the sunset’s light reflected on the mountains. Or to head out after the sun has set with a cup of hot chocolate to star gaze. The beauty from the house is breathtaking.
We love the land surrounding our house – from the views to the diversity of the trees and animals that live there. We often enjoy simply walking down the driveway to check out the frogs in the pond in the summer or the creek in the back in the winter and early spring.
We can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms on the first floor (1 queen, 1 full, both with blackout curtains). The open sleeping loft overlooks the living space and can accommodate 2 older children (ages 6 and older). There is a full bathroom on the first floor.

We offer 2 large desks designed for working remotely and have provided a printer for your convenience. The bright open living room features views, a 65 inch smart television and Roku, Harman Kardon bluetooth speaker, board games, and a wood burning stove and plenty of firewood for curling up on the couch or chairs on cozy winter days. We also have a heat pump (including a/c) for additional warmth in the winter and for cooling in the summer.

Our kitchen is well stocked with all of the equipment you need to cook or bake and we have a Keurig coffee/latte/cappuccino maker, a moka pot stove-top espresso maker, and french press for your coffee needs. There’s a dining table to seat 6 inside, or have your meal on the tables on our large deck overlooking Brandon Gap. We have a big mudroom where you can hang your outdoor equipment and coats, and leave your shoes. Our firepit offers the best mountain views on the whole property.

This is a whole house rental, so the house and 17+ acre property are yours to use during your stay. We border the Moosalamoo Recreation Area in the Green Mountain National Forest, so it is quiet and great for star gazing with dark skies and no light pollution at night.
Our driveway is nearly a quarter of a mile long and is up a small hill. This is great for privacy and views, but means that an all wheel drive car or snow tires are a must in the winter. The driveway is plowed and cleared after snow storms, but we urge you to stay here only if your car is equipped for winter.
Notes: No laundry available for guest use. Internet is fast, but cellphone service is spotty. We are surrounded by nature and wildlife – and have occasional visitors on the property (ranging from hummingbirds to the friendly neighborhood black bear and everything in between)! Please make sure your dogs are up-to-date on vaccines if you plan to let them off leash.
